Millie, a once-promising young actress, chewed up and spat out by Hollywood, is now one of LA's top agents. The champion she never had. But living a dream vicariously through the stars she represents has a viciously entertaining way of taking its toll.

Irrelevant is a savagely amusing comment on how great artists systemically ignored and without reason simply slip through the cracks. Of how luck really is the leading player in our stories and how sometimes being a bitch is all we really have to hang on to.

About the Production Company‍

Le Gallienne Theatre is a company founded on the ideologies of 1920’s theatre impresario Eva Le Gallienne and her heroine, actress Leonora Duse. Le G was an English born, out and proud lesbian in 1920’s America - when out and proud was not at all the thing to be. (Is it quite yet?)

An internationally renowned actress, she also translated all of Ibsen and Chekhov (introducing him to the US, who had never heard his plays before); directed slews of successful productions; graced the cover of Time magazine as one of the countries most influential actor/ managers and opened her iconic company, The Civ Rep, in New York City - based on the European principles of great art being accessible to the people. Le G literally revolutionised the theatre. Today, in part because her focus was stage based rather than film, she's slipped into obscurity... Until now.
